Start Planning Your Ceremony
After years together, you want to stand with your partner and say those words again. You want to reflect on everything you have shared, everything you have overcome and celebrate looking forward together.
A vow renewal ceremony gives you that opportunity. It is your chance to reaffirm your commitment in a way that reflects the relationship you have built together – not the one you had when you first married but the deeper, richer connection you have now.
Why Couples Choose Vow Renewals
-
Celebrating Milestones
Many couples mark significant anniversaries – 10, 25 or 50 years together – with a vow renewal. It is a beautiful way to honour the journey you have shared and celebrate the commitment you have maintained.
-
After Difficult Times
Some couples renew their vows after overcoming challenges – illness, loss or difficult periods in their relationship. It is a way of marking a new chapter and recommitting to each other.
-
Including Family
If you eloped or had a small original wedding, a vow renewal lets you celebrate with more family and friends. Or if your children have grown, it is a chance to include them in a ceremony that honours the family you have built together.
-
Simply Because You Want To
Sometimes there is no specific reason beyond wanting to express your love again. And that is reason enough.

Creating Your Ceremony
-
Reflecting on Your Journey
Your vow renewal ceremony should acknowledge the life you have built together. We will talk about what you have experienced, how you have changed and what you have learned about each other and yourselves.
This is not about pretending everything has been perfect – it is about celebrating the reality of a lasting relationship including the challenges you have faced and overcome.
-
Your Current Love
The vows you make now will be different from your wedding vows. They are informed by years of actual partnership, by truly knowing each other, by understanding what commitment really means.
We will craft words that reflect this deeper understanding.
-
Looking Forward
Your ceremony can also look forward – to retirement adventures, to grandchildren, to the next chapter of your shared story. It is a recommitment not just to where you have been but to where you are going.
The Style of Your Ceremony
Vow renewal ceremonies can be whatever you want them to be. Some couples prefer an intimate gathering with just close family. Others want a larger celebration. Some choose formal settings and traditional vows, while others opt for relaxed garden parties.
We will create a ceremony that feels right for you at this stage of your life.
-
Intimate and Personal
If you prefer something small and meaningful, we can create a ceremony that is just for the two of you or with a handful of closest family members present.
-
Family Celebration
Many couples use their vow renewal as a chance to include children or grandchildren in the ceremony. It becomes a celebration of the whole family you have created together.
-
Party-Style Celebration
Some couples turn their vow renewal into a full celebration with all their friends and family – essentially a second wedding, but with the confidence and joy that comes from years together.
The Process
-
Initial Meeting
We will meet for that free initial consultation where you can share your thoughts about what you'd like to create.
-
Planning Together
Once you have booked, we will arrange our planning meetings where you will tell me about your relationship and your vision for the ceremony.
-
Questionnaire and Script
You will complete your couple's questionnaire, and I will use this along with our conversations to write your ceremony.
-
Refinement
We will work together on the script, refining it until it perfectly captures what you want to say and how you want to say it.
-
Your Celebration Day
On the day, I will arrive early, make sure everything is ready and officiate your ceremony with warmth and genuine care for the commitment you are reaffirming.
What Makes a Vow Renewal Meaningful
The most meaningful vow renewal ceremonies are honest. They don't pretend marriage has been easy – they acknowledge that it takes work, compromise, forgiveness and continued choice.
They celebrate the specific ways you have built your life together. The in-jokes, the shared experiences, the ways you have learned to navigate life as a team.
And they express genuine commitment going forward – not just to staying married, but to continuing to grow, to support each other, to choose each other every day.
That is what I will help you create.
