Personal, meaningful wedding ceremonies

Wedding Ceremonies

Your ceremony is the heart of your wedding day. It is the moment you make your commitment, share your story and celebrate with the people who matter most. It deserves to feel meaningful, personal and completely true to who you are.

I create wedding ceremonies that reflect real couples – the ones who laugh together, who have overcome challenges, who want their guests to understand why they belong together. Whether you are planning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, I will work with you to create something genuinely special.

What is Included in Your Wedding Package

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Unlimited Time Together

We will start with a free, no-obligation consultation where we can meet and see if we are the right fit. If you would like to book me, we will then have unlimited planning meetings – as many as you need to feel confident and excited about your ceremony.

These meetings can be in person or via video call, whatever works best for you. We will take the time to get things right.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Getting to Know You

I will send you a couple's questionnaire that helps me understand your relationship story. Where you met, what you love about each other, the moments that defined your journey together. This is not a form-filling exercise – it is the foundation for creating your ceremony.

During our meetings, we will talk through your vision for the day. What matters most to you? Are there particular readings you would like? Do you want to include symbolic rituals? How formal or relaxed should the tone be?

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Your Bespoke Ceremony Script

Once I have got to know you, I will write your ceremony script. This will be created exclusively for you – your words, your story, your celebration. No templates, no recycled content, nothing that could work for anyone else.

I will share the draft with you, and we will refine it together until you are completely happy. The script is only finalised once you love it.

    Help with Vows and Readings

If you are writing your own vows, I can help you craft them. If you would like suggestions for readings, I have got plenty of options to share. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the choices, we will work through them together.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Ceremony Rehearsal

If you would like a rehearsal, we can arrange one. It is particularly helpful if you are feeling nervous, if you have got a complex ceremony structure or if family members are participating and want to practice their parts.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Venue Visit

If you would like me to visit your venue with you, I am more than happy to do that. It helps us understand the space and visualise how the ceremony will flow. I can offer suggestions if you are still deciding on details.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Coordination with Suppliers

I will coordinate with your other suppliers – photographers, musicians, florists, anyone involved in your ceremony. On the day, everything will flow smoothly because we have all communicated in advance.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Your Special Day

I will arrive at least an hour before your ceremony begins. I will make sure everything is in place, guide you and your participants, and handle any last-minute adjustments with calm confidence.

During the ceremony, you will have my full attention and genuine care. Afterwards, I will provide you with a keepsake vows booklet as a lasting memory of your words to each other.

Types of Ceremonies I Love Creating

I work with couples regardless of faith, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality or age. It is an honour to be chosen by you.

    Mixed-Faith and Interfaith Weddings

This is where my background really comes into its own. If you are from different faith backgrounds, I can help you blend your traditions in ways that feel respectful and meaningful to both of you.

I spent years working in interreligious dialogue and interfaith relations. I understand the nuances, the sensitivities and the beautiful possibilities that come from honouring two traditions. We can weave prayers, blessings, rituals and cultural elements together to create something that represents both of you.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Non-Religious Ceremonies

If you do not follow any faith tradition but still want a meaningful ceremony, I will create something that celebrates your values, your relationship and your commitment without religious content.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Intimate Elopements

Planning to marry with just the two of you or maybe a handful of close family members? I love the intimacy of smaller ceremonies. They are no less significant – often, they are even more powerful because they are so focused on the two of you.

    Venue and Outdoor Ceremonies

Whether you are getting married in a Cambridge College hall, a family garden, a hotel, a barn or somewhere completely unexpected, I will work with your space to create a ceremony that fits beautifully.

The Journey from Our First Meeting to Your Wedding Day

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Initial Consultation (Free)

We will meet for a chat – either in person over coffee or via video call if that is easier. This is your chance to get a feel for whether we are the right fit. There is no obligation, no pressure, just a friendly conversation.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Booking and Getting Started

If you would like to work together, I would send you all the booking information. Once you have paid your deposit, we are officially on this journey together.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Planning Meetings

We will arrange our first proper planning meeting where you can tell me your love story. I will ask questions but I will also leave space for you to share what feels important. These meetings are relaxed and conversational – think of them as enjoyable planning time rather than formal appointments.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Questionnaire and Script Development

Between meetings, you will fill out your couple's questionnaire. I will use this, combined with our conversations, to start crafting your ceremony.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Draft and Refinement

I will send you the ceremony draft for your feedback. We will go through it together, making changes until it feels completely right. There is no limit on revisions – we will keep refining until you are happy.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Final Preparations

In the weeks before your wedding, we will finalise all the details. If you want a rehearsal, we will arrange that. I will confirm timings with your venue and other suppliers.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Your Wedding Day

On the day, I will arrive early, make sure everything is ready and guide you through your ceremony with warmth and confidence. You can simply relax and be present.

Special Elements You Might Consider

I have created two symbolic rituals that couples have found meaningful:

  • icon_ver_color_orange

    Heart to Heart

You exchange rose quartz hearts, often known as the "heart stone" or "stone of love". Each heart represents your love for the other. During the ceremony, you give your heart to your partner and accept theirs in return. These hearts are then placed in a container of your choice for you to display at home, a lasting reminder of this day and the vows you made.

  • icon_ver_color_orange

Nurture Your Love, Bring Good Luck to Your Home

This ritual centres on a rosemary plant which symbolises protection. Rosemary has been used for centuries to bring good fortune to new homes. During your ceremony, loved ones can participate by watering the plant, blessing your home and your marriage. It is a lovely way to include family and friends while creating a symbol you will take home with you.

Of course, there are many other rituals we can explore – handfasting, unity candles, sand ceremonies, ring warming and more. We can discuss what feels meaningful to you.

Why Couples Choose to Work with Me

icon_ver_color_white

I want my couples to say they feel listened to, understood and supported throughout the planning process. I strive to bring both warmth and professionalism, that I'm organised and prepared, and that their ceremony genuinely reflects them rather than feeling generic.

The feedback I love hearing is: "That ceremony was so us".

That's exactly what I aim for.
